#46 Slay by Laurell K. Hamilton

 

Thirty books in and the family comes to town to meet the groom.  The first part has Anita’s family meeting JC for the first time.  Her grandmother came along and boy it is apparent that she can’t stand Anita.  After a tense dinner out on the town things quickly ramp up with attacks all over down including holy water burns to some vamps close to Anita.  To really say more would spoil the story but as with most Anita books things wrap up in a short amount of time.  The ending is a bit of a surprise and will have to see how this changes the course of the books going forward.
