#58 Legends & Lattes by Travis Baldree

When an orc decides to retire for swinging a sword, she opens a coffee shop.  Viv had gnomish coffee and fell in love and when the chance came up to retire, she took it and left her band of friends and coworkers behind.  The chance was in the form of a magic stone that she told no one about but took as her cut of their latest job.  With the money saved and the bits of good luck from the stone she has a thriving shop on her hands. But there are problems, shakedowns by the local enforcer and a former coworker that has figured out what she took as her cut and decides that he wants it for himself.

This book reminds me of Becky Chambers stories with the found friends and lower stakes in the plotlines.  I can say if you enjoy her books, you will like this one just as much.
