#25 Electric Idol by Katee Robert, Alex Moorcock (Narrator), Zara Hampton-Brown (Narrator)

 

This story sticks closer to the parts of the myth that Aphrodite hates Psyche and doesn’t want her near Eros.  In this one, Aphrodite sends her son to kill Psyche and he is unable to do it so to block his mother form commanding him to do it, he marries Psyche.  Eros is his mother’s fixer and takes out anyone that is a problem to her.  And with Psyche’ s mom Demeter trying to fix one of her remaining daughters up with the new Zeus there is a big axe to grind.  You get a bit more of the feel o this story setting and what each of the thirteen gods are in charge of.  I enjoyed the audio and will more than likely read more of these when I get the chance to.
