This hits all the spy movie tropes, and it works. Secret island base, gene modified soldiers, old Nazis, explosions galore; they are all in this book. Joe and his team need to stop a modified virus that will kill people with the wrong genes and only allow the pure to live. Since there are more books in the series you know what will happen in the end but the ride to get there is enjoyable but quite bloody.
