#32 Bound by Benedict Jacka

There is no way out that Alex can divine to keep him from either working for Richard or having the council restart their death sentence on him and Anne. Richard had Alex doing odd jobs for him and working as an assistant to Morden since he is now a councilor. Morden’s previous assistants have all died of torture so there is still another avenue of problems for him. Dodging attacks and running errands for Richard as Alex tries to figure out what he can possibly do to change the outcome of his current life. Arachne gives him some good advice and he is able to use some of it. Don’t want to spoil any of the story but this certainly isn’t the book to start with. Everything that has happened before comes up as part of the plot.
