#8 Deal with the Devil by Kit Rocha

A solar flare has basically crushed the US and now must people live under the oversight of various corporations. Nina lives with two other women dealing in data and doing things to make their neighborhood nicer and safer and a little less under the thumb of TechCorp and their hired guns. Knox has to convince Nina to come with him so he can trade her for a tech that can keep his implants running since he and his men went AWOL for TechCorp. Nina thinks they are going to a hidden archive of the former Library of Congress. The two groups are traveling together and getting to know one another during several encounters with groups of people preying on other people. But not every double cross works out and there is a bit of a surprise reveal. A good story with lots of romantic tension between the two groups and the epilogue sets up the next book nicely.
