#50 The Sight by Chloe Neill
Aug. 1st, 2016 11:45 amThe second book picks up fairly soon after the first book. Claire is taking lessons to try and control her magic and also learning to be a bounty hunter. Granted I think the bounty hunter lessons is so she can spend time with Liam. The tension in this book is a new group in New Orleans that believes to cleanse the area of all magic everything about magic must be destroyed. Devil’s island, the prisoners, the Containment and anyone that works or supports the system in any way.
I didn’t care for this one as much and I’m not sure why. The plot moved along fairly quickly and there was tension throughout the story but it just seemed that the villain they were fighting wasn’t that great of a tactician for all the people and supplies he managed to rally to his cause. It also might have been that the ending really wasn’t upbeat at all.
