I’m once again behind on reviews and also behind on reading. I don’t think I will hit my goal this year of 125 books.

The second book in the series has Owl fighting against her own reputation as a thief. She has to track down some artifacts and steal them to prove that she wasn’t the one that stole them in the first place.  All this turns out to be part of an opening move in a war between supernatural factions and it doesn’t help that she forks for one. Things mostly work out in the end but there are issues with how she gets out of her situation and she needs to fix that in the next book. The plus is you also get to find out more about the online game she uses.

This short story collection has bit of everything for a Kelley Armstrong reader. Covering her well known series, standalone short stories and new material written for the book the selection certainly entertains the reader.  Several of the stories have appeared in themed anthologies and to have them here without trying to track them all down is a treat since I enjoyed the one for the Clive Barker book but I don’t think I would have bought that collection and would have missed that gem. A great read to get the full flavor of writing and story universes from a very prolific author.
