#84 The Exodus Towers by Jason M. Hough

The second book deals with colonization of the new tower that has arrived and a new leader in Darwin is taking over the town. Secrets that Neil kept from the world are revealed to a few people and then there is a immune group that is run like a cult. Lots of action in this one and fallout from decisions people made in the first book. I have to admit is is great that the books are coming out quickly. And book 3 will follow this one fairly fast as well.

#85 Kitty in the Underworld by Carrie Vaughn

The 12th book has Kitty dealing with a small group that kidnaps her and tries to forcibly recruit her in the war against  Dux Bellorum. That this mixed group of supernatural people don't want to join forces with her or even listen to her for information is beyond hubris.  And that is the main theme of the story, hubris.  The pacing for this story is a bit different and I can see that some fans might not care for this book at all. In the end this was just another battle but not the end of the war.
