missingvolume: (books cats)
This tiny gift book I think will be the new graduation gift for anyone that wants something different than "Oh the Places You Will Go". The advice is good and the typesetting is very engaging. A book that you can reread quickly for a bit of a lift in your spirits when you need it while trying to work on something creative and the world is grinding you down about it.

Per the publisher request I will not be posting the review until the book is much closer to publication.

I will fill in this post much later on in the year. Was surprised that they wanted me to wait until 2 weeks before publication.

And now I can post my review.

The second book in the Finishing School series is set right at the six month mark of school with testing and an unplanned visit of the school to London.  Events from the previous book do come into play in this story and tie up for the most part without leaving the reader desperate for answers.  Readers of the previous series will see characters that are based in London make an appearance in this book.  A good fun read and surprising that you can read this one without feeling lost if you hadn’t read the first book or the first series.

Digital copy of the book provided by the publisher through Edelweiss
