#70 Kitty's Big Trouble by Carrie Vaughn

This one has Kitty traveling to SF to work on a historical puzzle. While traveling to find out if General Sherman was really a werewolf she gets drawn into the vampires Long Game. Most of the story has her trying to help Anastasia keep a magical artifact that she has had a Chinese family guard for centuries away from Roman. You do get more background about Anastasia and more on what happened to Cormac in jail. The main story doesn't move the overall story arc much but it was a more of a way to show more about the vampires and also to smack Kitty over the head that there is more out there than she ever thought.
