The second book isn't as fast paced as the first book instead it sets down more of the framework of who is the big bad in the series. The only part I didn't care for is it introduced a new player in the war and then seem to ignore them near the end of the book. I'm still interested in how this will all play out and I'll be looking forward to the next one.
