The fifth book starts out with Kate now running her own business after breaking with the Knights in the last book. Kate gets hired by the Master of the Dead to do some work but of course she doesn't get all the info she needs. Her ward has decided to come home to Atlanta even if it isn't safe for her to do so. The usual mix of Kate juggling too many commitments to friends and family and trying and failing to keep her heritage a secret makes for an enjoyable read.

i wasn't that inclined to read this since it featured Jack and I am way behind reading the Jack collections but never fear I didn't feel lost at any part of the story. The format has it switching back and forth between Fables and Jack for each issue of the story and it works great to move the plot along and the arc is wrapped up in this graphic novel. A fun good read that made sure I wanted to read more Fables and start working on the Jack books as well.

I heard the buzz about this online and decided to check it out. It is a lot of fun and I knew I wasn't alone thinking that after the publisher just extended the series out to 6 books now. Atticus is a honest to goodness druid that is over 2,00 years old thanks to his knowledge of magic and a few timely tips from The Morrigan. He has been keeping a low profile due to picking up a Irish god's sword off the battlefield and taking off with it. This book covers the showdown that has been building through the centuries. One thing I liked about this book is the author didn't drag this out over several books but wrapped it up and had a good closure so you are not left hanging at the end.  Not that it stopped me from getting the next book in the series to read.
