#45 Monster Hunter Vendetta by Larry Correia

The second book is just as fun as the first one and instead of trailer park elves you get gangster gnomes. Owen's family is the target of revenge from the old ones and it doesn't help that his brother is famous when trying to protect him.  Agent Franks is back and he is in charge of protecting Owen and Owen is trying to protect his family and hopelessly keep them in the dark about his job. The good news is they like his fiancee.  I did like that you find out more about Agent Franks and Owen is kept human and fallible with his constant irritation at the ex boyfriend/ former coworker of Julie that comes back to work for the firm.  A good fun read.

#46 Fatal Circle by Linda Robertson

The third book picks up right after the end of book  so there is a bit of going over the night before [book 2] in the beginning as battle plans are drawn to fight the fey that want to no longer be bonded to the master vampire. The witches only agree to support her on the sly and her boyfriend needs to take up the mantle of the werewolf leader in order to cement the bond between the three of them and defeat the fey. A good read but you are left wanting to read the next book to find out how everything works out. Because love triangles are never good.
