#8 Norse Code by Greg Van Eekhout

This was a book that I sort of remember hearing something about and I had picked it up a few times and put it back in favor of buying another book when I would be in the store.  Then it was on the TBR for a while while I read other things but I finally got to reading it and I liked it. Ragnarök has finally arrived after all these years and a newly minted Valkyrie and one of the Norse gods go about trying to stop it. I find it amusing that one side was trying to bolster the amount of warriors they had by finding as many descendants of Odin and kill them so they would be in Valhalla in time for the big show even if they were not warriors or did any heroic deeds in the course of their lives.
