#79 Blameless by Gail Carriger

These books are so much fun and I am sad I have to wait to next year to see what happens next. And I was a bit disappointed to find out that the series has an ending in site. I guess that is a good thing but I would certainly like to see more in this universe. With Alexia being in the family way and according to all sources werewolves can't father children she has a huge fight with her husband and moves home. Home is very hostile towards her due to the scandal, Queen Victoria dismisses her from the Shadow Council and clockwork bugs start attacking her Alexia decides to go to Italy to find out more about being Soulless. With the help of her father's valet and Madame Lefoux she heads to Italy one step ahead of her attackers. Overall it was a good story and you find out more about the the Soulless as well.

#80 White Cat by Holly Black

New YA series set in an alternate world where people who work curses are criminals and they do their magic by touching you with their bare hands. Because of this everyone wears gloves all the time and to do a curse either good or bad gives blowback on the caster, the stronger the spell the stronger to cost. Cassel comes from a family of criminal curse workers and is trying to live on the straight and narrow. His carefully constructed world come crashing down when he wakes up on the roof of his exclusive school after sleep walking there. I liked the book and the universe it was set in. The ending is not a happy one and there are two more books that will be coming out.
