This themed anthology had to do with tattoos. The Karen Chance story was set in her current universe with a new protagonist and had to do with a charm in the shape of a tattoo and it was interesting to see this universe from the eyes of a war mage. The Liu story is almost a prequel story where you meet Maxine's grandmother in more than just photos. I liked the story enough to give the series another shot since I didn't care for the first book enough to get the second book in the series. The third story was set in the Otherworld series of Galenorn's and is a prequel story and good jumping in point for a new reader to the series. I did feel that the "inked" part of the story wasn't central to the plot but at least it was in the story. The last one was set in a universe that I hadn't read before and it was interesting but not enough to get me to start reading the books. I think at some point I have to cut back on all the urban fantasy I read just because it sounded halfway entertaining.
