#36 Holidays Are Hell edited by Kim Harrison

This is a 4 story collection that I had tred to read when it first came out and I just wasn't in the mood to read short stories. The Kim Harrison one I was really glad to read because one of the story lines in the new novel has roots in this short story. It covers Rachel wanting to be a runner for the IS and has her brother coming for a visit for the winter solstice. I didn't care for the Sands story but of course your milage my vary. The  Marjorie Liu  story was good but I don't know if it is part of one of her series or a stand alone. The Pettersson story is part of her current universe but the nice thing it is a prequel story of a sort and you get to meet the previous Archer after she has stepped down. So it is a good intro to her books or a nice addition to read after book 3.
