This is the sequel to Kushiel's Dart. I'm enjoying this series. There is more worldbuilding but only for the new cultures that Phedre enters. I did like the guilt cleansing that was described in the book as a tradition of the Hellas. The only thing I didn't care for was a new god has "touched" her. Granted it was only to cleanse the temple but still I thought it was a bit much.
