Holidays on Ice by David Sedaris

Well the slim #49 was hiding in a stack of things that I had read and hadn't listed. a friend lent it to me, which almost never happens nowadays. Having lots of books I get recommendations but not the actual book placed in my hands. It is a selection of essays on the theme of Christmas holidays. I couldn't get into it. I guess my humor and his are not on the same plane of existence. I felt bad, I always do when I get recommended something by someone and it doesn't live up to what you were told it would be as if the fault was in me and not the book. Oh well, it wasn't my cup of tea but I can see why other people like his work.
