I've had several friends that have read this and really liked it so I felt confident taking it with me on vacation and it was a great read. I liked how the magic was explained in the book and how it was wasn't a world altering plot that the heroine needed to solve and fix.  I liked the story and that there are going to be more in the series is even better.
