missingvolumeI started this because of the fans of Anne Bishop complaining that it was a rip off of that series. So I read them both and yea you can see the similarity. These books are a pared down version of the Black Jewel books. The plots are so light and stripped down that I finished this in about record time. At some point I'll read the next one but I will not be running down to the store to get the next one.
