missingvolumeA new YA series from Lackey and Edghill with an urban fantasy setting at a boarding school. Recently orphaned kids find out that will be going to a school out West because their parents had set this up for them in case something happened. They are "legacy" students since their parents had attended the school but this of course is news to them. The school is a magic based school with lots of rules and they keep the students very busy almost too busy to do anything else. Spirit for some reason has magic but neither she nor the school know what it is. She has a small circle of friends that start asking questions about why students disappear and never return. A good setup to the series and I'm sure I will be picking up the next one when it comes out.
