This took me a while to get through, I felt like that at any point the story was picking up steam the POV switched to a different set of characters.  I think I may wait for a few books to come out in the series and read them back to back so the series seems fresher. I do know people that read them over and over but I really don't want to devote the time to it.

Mission of Honor is more opaque. POV Pinball AND Weberian info-dumps.

Which means I'll read it when I don't have anything else that is due back at the library that week. Straight Weber causes me to scan and flip pages quickly just skimming the story.

I think it is worth reading the last few in a massive Weber session. And not necessarily in the order published. In fact it _may_ be better to read them in strict chronological order by breaking off from book A to read book B and so on.

I suspect you need to start around At All Costs and pick and mix from there

I almost never reread the series or the previous book before the new book comes out. When I find myself skimming a book the last thing I want to do is reread the damn thing. It took me about 100 pages into Torch before I got back into the groove of that universe. IT could be I am just slowly souring on the series.

The only book I am "planning" on rereading is Martin's Game of Thrones series, I read the first 2 years ago and stopped reading them because I wanted to wait for the series to be done. I know at some point he will be done, I will go on vacation somewhere and polish off the entire run of books.
