A lot of people I know rave about these comics. I have to say I will have to give it a miss. the art leaves me a bit too cold. I would try the next book to see if the story speed picks up but my library doesn't have the second volume.

Definitely check out vol 2...
The style of the artwork changed slightly & it was done in colour from then on; which made a vast improvement!

The artwork and plot have improved to the point where the series won the webcomic Hugo, last time.

The initial artwork sucked rocks. Pick any comic from the second or third year on, and it's a world of difference.
