I decided to read this since she was going to be at Dragoncon. I liked it. Yes the heroine gets a nifty new power but that is all she gets from her near death experience. She gets no understanding how to use it. Her doctor recommends that she speak to someone about what happened with her brush with death and they try to help her gain control of her power of the Grey. This also leads to her discovery of vampires and magic users and ghosts that interact with Greywalkers. The book was fun and I've since read the next 2 in the series.
