#5 Where the Dead Lie by C.S. Harris, Davina Porter (Narrator)
This story has Sebastian investing the death of a homeless boy who was tortured and only discovered when his clandestine burial was interrupted on the grounds of an abandoned factory. Everyone who sees the body is moved to discover who did this even as events shows it is someone with access to money and power. Hero is also doing a series of articles on the homeless children including ones where their only parent was deported and the child left on the docks. The mystery is good, and the tension is high as always. The author’s note is always a great springboard for a reader to use to dive into facts of history that are used during the storytelling.
