#16 Salt: A World History by Mark Kurlansky

This was an ok book. Several chapters duplicated the same info. Lots of neat facts about how salt factored into history, politics and war. Part of me is interested in reading his book on Cod but I think that anything interesting he had to say about cod was mentioned in this book. Now I need to track down some more foodie nonfiction to read. So if anyone has any leads just leave me a comment.

Thanks

#17 Fortune's Fool by Mercedes Lackey

This is the third book that she has done for Luna. Once again the setting is the Five Hundred Kingdoms. I had to admit I had forgotten how the second book ended and was reminded of that since a few characters show up in this one. The flavor of this one was Russian, sea myths with a touch of Jinn thrown in. Again it was a nice diversion but I don't think it was worth the hardcover price. Thank goodness for the library.
