#11 Justice Hall by Laurie R King

This is the book before The Game but the library didn't have it so I dived ahead. Justice Hall is set in England and has to do with the 2 cousins you meet in O Jerusalem. (I had read that book years ago so it was a good thing that events that happened in that book are not central to this one). Lines of succession to a Dukedom are at stake and the story is just wonderful. Maybe I was just tired but when the secret is revealed, it caused a lump in my throat. No giving it away since it would ruin the book. Just another wonderful Mary Russell mystery.

#12 Locked Rooms by Laurie R King

This book deals with Mary Russell's past in California. She was the sole survivor of a car crash that killed her family and she remembers very little of it. At the end of The Game, her and Holmes are taking a trip to California to deal with some business that needs her personal touch. Since she is there she decides to look up her doctor that helped her after the crash. Turns out her doctor was killed just a month after she left CA for the UK to live with an aunt. While looking into stuff someone takes a shot at her. This of course just is fuel to the fire of the mystery. As usual the story is great and you get a wonderful feeling for setting thanks to great writing. I'm just disappointed that I will be waiting a while for the next Mary Russell mystery.
