The Hallowed Hunt by Lois McMaster Bujold
I read this one slowly. This has to be her best written book yet. The twists and turns of events on the hero and heroine are wonderfully written. That I will have to wait more than a year for the next thing she will write is the downside but I might actually go back and read the series this year just to refresh myself. This is how good books should be written. It fits into the overall universe but is not dependant on the other books to keep the story straight.
I decided to include rereads this year on my list. I will not add them to the total read more just keep track of them.
The first reread of the year was more of a re-listen. I usually listen to audio books of stories I have read before just so I don't get too distracted on the road. So for the first road trip of the year I selected Ethan of Athos by Bujold. This is a nice slice of the Vorkosigan universe without Miles in it at all. He is referred to a few times but this is about an OB dr from a planet of men who must go out and secure more ovarian cultures after the first shipment was sabotaged. It had been many years since I had read the book but I remembered the overall story structure and got a few smiles out of small details that I had forgotten.
